Discover What it Takes to be a Lifeguard!

This program introduces you to lifesaving techniques and first aid skills. You will also gain experience in accident prevention and dealing with the public. Participants must be able to swim 50 metres and tread water for one minute. Junior Lifeguard Club is for quick learners, those between levels or programs who thrive in an energetic learning environment. More action, more options, more fun. The Junior Lifeguard Club offers a unique aquatic alternative for those kids who love the water and who want more than “lessons.” Ages 10-15 years. Note: This program does not certify participants to be a certified lifeguard. 

Program Details

  • Dates: Tuesdays July 9-August 27, 2024
  • Times: 6:30-7:30 pm
  • Location: Selkirk Park Pool (inside Selkirk Park)
  • Ages: 10-15 years. Participants must be able to swim 50 meters and tread water for one minute.
  • Cost: Non-resident = $104.00 + GST ; Resident = $84.52 + GST
    • Residents of the City of Selkirk receive a discounted rate on City operated programs. Discount will apply at checkout.
