Join the Manitoba Cycling Association and embark on the ultimate cycling adventure!
HopOn is part of a nationwide grassroots program aimed at making cycling accessible across Canada. At Manitoba Cycling, we use a games-based learning approach to instill fundamental skills, safety awareness, and a passion for riding. Our NCCP-trained and HopOn-certified instructors will guide participants through hands-on instruction, fun games, riding adventures, and fostering confidence.
This beginner class is designed for those who are new to cycling or want to strengthen their foundational skills. The focus is on building confidence and mastering essential techniques through structured learning. Here are the key elements:
- Foundational Skills: Participants learn essential techniques such as braking effectively, using gears and pedalling efficiently, understanding the neutral position (balance), and adopting the ready position (body posture for readiness and control).
- Games-Based Learning Approach: Teaching methods include interactive games that make learning engaging and enjoyable. This approach helps beginners grasp concepts through practical application and repetition in a fun environment.
- Skill Development: The emphasis is on developing fundamental skills that form the basis for safe and enjoyable cycling experiences. Instructors provide individual attention to ensure each participant progresses at their own pace.
Join us for an exciting evening of cycling!
