The City of Selkirk is seeking a citizen volunteer that is interested in sitting on the Gaynor Family Regional Library Board.
Board responsibilities
The board is responsible for effectively managing library resources and providing quality library services to the people of the City of Selkirk, St. Andrews and St. Clements.
The board’s responsibilities are to provide governance, control, supervision and management of the regional library.
Board size and composition
The Gaynor Family Regional Library Board consists of 9 members composed of:
- 1 member of City of Selkirk Council
- 1 member of the R. M. of St. Clements Council
- 1 member of the R. M. of St. Andrews Council
- 2 citizen members from the City of Selkirk, R. M. of St. Clements and the R.M. of St. Andrews
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible for a citizen appointment to the board, you must be a resident of the City of Selkirk.
Qualifications
Please include your qualifications, range of expertise and experience relative to the duties and responsibilities of the appointment.
Meetings
The board generally meets from 5 pm – 7 pm every third Monday of the month, except in July, August and December at the Gaynor Family Regional Library located at 806 Manitoba Avenue.
