Spring Weight Restrictions Now Lifted

The public is hereby advised the 2018 Spring Weight Road Restrictions will be lifted as of midnight, Monday, May 21st
The purpose of Spring Road Restrictions is to protect roadways from damage during spring thaw conditions.

The Public is hereby advised the 2018 Spring Weight Restrictions will commence for all affected streets in the City of Selkirk as follows on March 20, 2018 and will remain in effect until May 31, 2018 unless otherwise notified.
Spring Weight Restrictions shall prohibit gross weight per axle assembly on City of Selkirk streets from exceeding 60 kilograms in weight per 10 millimeters of width of tire.
65% of normal axle loads on residential streets
90% of normal axle load on truck routes
The purpose of Spring Road Restrictions is to protect roadways from damage during spring thaw conditions.
Council requests the co-operation of its citizens and the commercial industry.
