As water levels continue to decrease, we will begin to remove the temporary dykes that have been built in Selkirk, starting with Dufferin Avenue North of the Kiwanis Centre.
The latest forecast has determined levels lower than 2011 which has worked out in our favour. The mitigation measures that City staff followed had us well prepared in the event there would have been high levels of water.
At this point we don’t plan on providing any additional updates unless there is urgent information that needs to be shared with the community.
Thank you for your cooperation throughout the melt.
