Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Grads of the Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School, or the Comp, won’t be having a traditional graduation at the Rec Centre like usual.
This year will be a bit different. After working with the Grad Committee at the Comp, we have come up with a solution to give students a ceremony they deserve.
On Thursday, June 25, traffic in and out of the park, down Eveline Street and down Taylor Avenue may see a higher traffic volume then usual, as vehicles will be staged for students and driven in to receive their diplomas. We ask to please be patient with slower vehicles waiting for students to receive their awards.
We also ask everyone to not approach the stage area by foot or gather in that area, as there are strict rules so we abide to government regulations.
