Manitoba’s Chief Public Health Officer announced today that the Winnipeg Metro Region which includes Selkirk will be moving to the Restricted Level Red of Manitoba’s Pandemic Response System commencing Monday, November 2nd at 12:01am.
In response to this, the City of Selkirk is moving to Level 3 of its Covid-19 Business Continuity Plan and Response Strategy, effective immediately.
As outlined in our Business Continuity Plan and Response Strategy, here are the changes that you can expect:
The Selkirk Recreation Complex will be closed to the public and all programming and bookings including hockey will be cancelled effective October 31st. All user groups and anyone with a booking will be contacted by the CRGT department as soon as possible.
User groups: Please note that it is your responsibility to contact your registrants or members to notify them of these changes.
The City of Selkirk Civic Office will be closed to the public effective immediately.

All non-essential public hearings and citizen engagement meetings will be postponed until further notice.
City of Selkirk utility staff will only enter homes on an emergency basis.
