Sophia Street Sewer Separation – due to the severe weather we have been experiencing, ground conditions are not favourable to install the land drainage sewer on Sophia Street in the manner in which it was planned. Frost has developed at 7 feet below the surface, forcing the City’s contractor to open up the road at the Sophia Street and Moody Avenue intersection. The area will be barricaded to traffic and local residents will need to find an alternate route for the duration of time that the road is closed. It is hoped that the road will be open and operational again by the end of the day tomorrow (Wednesday, February 17th).
