The City of Selkirk is looking for volunteers that are interested in sitting on the Gaynor Family Regional Library Board.
Eligibility requirements?
Simple – You must be a resident of the City of Selkirk and willing to sit on the board for approximately 2 years.
Board responsibilities:
The board is responsible for effectively managing library resources and providing quality library services and programming to the people of the City of Selkirk, St. Andrews, St. Clements and Dunnottar.
The board’s provides governance, supervision and management of the regional library.

Meetings
Not too many – The board generally meets at the Gaynor Family Regional Library (located at 806 Manitoba Ave.) from 5 pm – 7 pm every Second Thursday of the month, except in July, August and December (we’re all too busy for that).
Board size and composition
The Gaynor Family Regional Library Board consists of 9 members composed of:
- 1 member of City of Selkirk Council
- 1 member of the R. M. of St. Clements Council
- 1 member of the R. M. of St. Andrews Council
- 1 member of the Village of Dunnottar Council
- 2 citizen members from the City of Selkirk, R. M. of St. Clements and the R.M. of St. Andrews
- 1 citizen member from Dunnottar
