In celebration of I Love to Read Month, the City of Selkirk in partnership with United for Literacy & Selkirk District Community Foundation are delivering FREE children’s programming.
Registration is required. Spaces are limited and are first come, first serve. Click the register button to register for a program.
Registration for the first session is now open. Registration for the other upcoming sessions will become available starting two weeks before their scheduled event date, beginning every Monday.
I Love to Read in PJ's Nights
Showcases a guest reader each week! Following the reading is a literacy activity and bedtime snack. Each child will get to take home the book that was read.
This program is targeted for children ages 5-9 years old, parents/guardians must be in attendance at program. Location: Gaynor Family Regional Library.
February 6 - "A Promise is a Promise"
The first I Love to Read in PJ’s Night takes place on February 6 at 6:30 pm at the Gaynor Family Regional Library and features the book “A Promise is a Promise” by Robert Munsch and Michael Arvaarluk and features guest reader Lorie Fiddler.
February 15 - “I Can Be Anything (What Could You Be?)”
Next weeks I Love to Read in PJ’s Night takes place on February 15 at 6:30 pm at the Gaynor Family Regional Library and features the book “I Can Be Anything (What Could You Be?)” by Susan Berry who will be the guest reader for the program!
February 20 - “Just One Goal!”
The upcoming “I Love to Read in PJ’s Night” is scheduled for February 20 at 6:30 pm at the Gaynor Family Library. The highlighted book for the evening is “Just One Goal!” by Robert Munsch, and it will include special guest readers from the Selkirk Steelers!
February 29 - “Fry Bread”
The upcoming “I Love to Read in PJ’s Night” is set for February 29 at 6:30 pm at the Gaynor Family Regional Library. This event will showcase the book “Fry Bread” by Kevin Noble Maillard and will have Knowledge Keeper Jeannie Whitebird as the special guest reader!
