Please be advised of the following closures on Main Street to accommodate road resurfacing:
- Northbound lanes from Queen Avenue to Lake Avenue will be fully closed from Thursday, October 24, at 8am through Friday, October 25 – reopening by Saturday, October 26.
- Southbound lanes from Young Avenue to Queen Avenue will be fully closed from Monday, October 28, at 8am through Thursday, October 31 – reopening by Friday, November 1.
The closures will cause the following accommodations and changes to the area:
- Local traffic will be able to access their properties but all through traffic will be rerouted.
- Northbound traffic on Main heading north of Greenwood will be detoured during the northbound lane closure.
- Southbound truck traffic will be detoured at Young or Lake Avenue and rerouted to Sophia while southbound passenger vehicles will be detoured at Lake during the southbound lane closure.
The city will be working with businesses and those who live in the area to ensure they have the access and accommodations needed during this time. Paper notices will be delivered to properties affected by these closures.
