1. Sending Mail to the City of Selkirk:
During the Canada Post strike, mail delivery may be delayed or halted completely. To ensure your documents and payments reach the City of Selkirk, we encourage you to use the following alternatives:
In-Person Payments & Submissions: You can visit the City of Selkirk’s civic office to make payments or submit documents in person. Our in-person office hours are currently:
Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (after-hours drop box available near front door).

Please note that at this time, extensions for payments will not be granted. Bills that were received prior to the postal strike continue to be due and any outstanding amounts will continue to accrue penalty costs.
Online Services: Some bills can be paid online, and some services are available online. Please visit our website for more details on our self-serve options. www.myselkirk.ca/selfserveoptions.
Courier Services: If you need to send important documents or payments to the city during the Canada Post strike, we recommend using a private courier service. Services outside of Canada Post are unaffected by the strike at this time and can ensure timely delivery to the City of Selkirk. Please note that the city will not incur any fees associated with this.
2. Receiving Mail from the City of Selkirk:
Mail delivery delays or a complete halt may occur as a result of the strike. Currently, the city has halted most outgoing mail. If you are expecting mail of any kind from the city, we ask that you please pick it up from the Civic Office until further notice. We ask that you please call to ensure your mail is ready for pick up before coming here.
