Policing in the City of Selkirk is the responsibility of the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police). The Selkirk Municipal Detachment has a compliment of 18 Police Officers and 6 detachment service assistants. The RCMP areas of focus are crime prevention & enforcement, community safety & wellness, traffic & water safety and public services.
