Founded in May 2011, Selkirk Transit acts as the city’s primary source of public transportation. It runs from 6:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am – 6:00 pm on Saturdays.

Half of Selkirk Transit’s funding comes from a partnership with the Province of Manitoba. The other half comes from generated revenue and sponsorships. In 2015, Selkirk Transit served over 30,000 passengers. It is expected that number will continue to increase in the forthcoming years.
