The Selkirk Concert Series proudly sponsored by South Beach Casino and Resort is a popular draw for residents and visitors throughout the summer.

Enjoy music with the gorgeous view of the Red River as the backdrop or visit one of the many food vendors to grab a bite to eat. These family friendly, free concerts are located at the Selkirk Waterfront while ‘Music on Manitoba’ is located on Manitoba Ave East.

The series gets underway with the ‘Season Opener’ June 8, the highly anticipated ‘Rock the Waterfront’ July 20 and the annual ‘Music on Manitoba’ August 10. Come on down and bring a lawn chair, you won’t want to miss these family friendly, free concerts!

Just a reminder: Concerts never cancel due to rain; they relocate instead. Announcements for relocation will be made here and on social media.

June 8 – Season Opener

7:00 pm – Hearts on Fire

Hearts on Fire is a 5 piece country band specializing in 1990’s country music and were one of the most popular country acts in the province during that time. Hearts on Fire look forward to transporting you back to the ‘90’s with the music of such artists as Pam Tillis, Patti Loveless, Marty Stuart, Hal Ketchum and Mary Chapin Carpenter to name a few.  Grab your cowboy hat and boots and get ready to two-step to the country hits from the 90’s.

Dreams and Rumours is a Winnipeg-based band that has solid reputation to charm audiences with their high energy and skilled performances. Ultimately, the common thread audiences experience from their performance, is the band’s passion and commitment to faithfully reproduce the sights and sounds of the original artists. The members of Dreams and Rumours have created the definitive tribute to Fleetwood Mac.

A.R Cash duo dressed as Johnny Cash and June Carter

A.R CASH began in 2013 as a stylistically authentic tribute to Johnny Cash’s music from the 1950’s through the 1960’s. With the addition of acclaimed country songstress Ashley Robertson to pay tribute to June Carter Cash, they charm audiences with solid and playful performances while sharing history of Johnny and June’s careers.

The Premier Tom Petty Tribute of the Canada’s Prairies. Damn the Torpedoes established to let the fan of the late great Tom Pretty continue to enjoy the live experiences of TP & The Heartbreakers!!

A dedicated accessible (reserved) parking spots are available on Port Selkirk Drive (near the Gordon Howard).

There is a wheelchair ramp leading down to the waterfront from Eveline St. 

Can I perform in the concert series?

Thank you for your interest in performing! Applications for the 2024 Concert Series are now closed but if you’d like to be considered for future events please fill out the Concert Series Entertainment Application Form at www.myselkirk.ca/entertainmentapplication.

Is the event outside or inside?

The Season Opener and Rock the Waterfront are outside at the Selkirk Waterfront.  Music on Manitoba is outside on Manitoba Ave East between Main St and Eveline Ave. 

What happens if it rains?

The City would like to remind everyone that events are never cancelled if it rains. If weather conditions are not suitable, an announcement will be posted on the City website and on social media relocating the events.

Are there washrooms on site?

Yes, porta potties are on site and available to use.

Do I need a ticket to attend?

No ticket is needed to attend the concert series. 

Do you serve liquor/is the area licensed?

The Selkirk Concert series does not serve liquor. The area is not licensed for alcohol.
