Marine Museum of Manitoba’s All Hands on Deck Day

The Marine Museum of Manitoba is thrilled to announce the 2024 Access Credit Union All-Hands on Deck Day, happening on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This annual event invites visitors to explore the museum’s historic ships free of charge, offering a unique opportunity to experience Manitoba’s rich maritime heritage. This year’s event is particularly special, as it marks the first time Access Credit Union is sponsoring this beloved community event and the 50th anniversary of the museum’s opening.

Since 1974, the Marine Museum of Manitoba has been dedicated to preserving and celebrating the maritime history of Lake Winnipeg and the Red River. Over the past five years, the museum has enhanced its offerings with new and interactive exhibits and displays, providing an even more engaging experience for visitors of all ages. The Access Credit Union All-Hands on Deck Day is the perfect opportunity for the community to come together and explore these exciting developments.

We are very grateful to Access Credit Union for sponsoring this year’s All-Hands on Deck Day. This event is a wonderful tradition that allows us to open our doors to the community, free of charge, and share our passion for Manitoba’s maritime history. While admission to the event is free, the Marine Museum of Manitoba has historically received generous donations during All-Hands on Deck Day. This year, all donations will be directed to the museum’s Heritage Trust Endowment Fund as part of its campaign to raise $25,000. These funds will be matched dollar for dollar, resulting in a total investment of $50,000 that will support the museum’s mission in perpetuity.

All-Hands on Deck Day is a highlight of our year, and we’re especially thrilled to celebrate it with the support of Access Credit Union.
