Marine Museum of Manitoba Opening Weekend

Established in 1972 the Marine Museum of Manitoba provides visitors with a hands on, heritage experience. We tell the story of the development and the operation of marine life on Lake Winnipeg and the Red River circa 1850 to present day. Visitors get to board the actual ships that navigated the waters of the world’s tenth largest lake and will learn about how the Port of Selkirk played a vital role in the development of Manitoba.
This will be an exciting year with the museum celebrating its 50th anniversary since incorporation as well as celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Keenora – Manitoba’s oldest and best loved steamship and flagship of the Marine Museum.
