After June 30, 50 finalist communities will be invited to submit an application explaining why they deserve to be Canada’s Most Active Community. One community will earn the top prize of $100,000 and title of being Canada’s most active. Prizes will be provided to for the most active community in each province and territory.
Tracking Your Minutes
There are 3 ways to track your movement minutes in order to participate in the Community Better Challenge.
1) On the App
Track your personal physical activity minutes on the ParticipACTION app to help your community win! There is also the chance to win great prizes for yourself when you use the app. Check out the Apple App Store or Google Play and download the ParticipACTION app today.
2) On the Website
Track your activity minutes of the Community Challenge Website.
3) As a group, school, organization, or workplace
Organizations, schools, sport groups, recreation centers and workplaces can participate in the challenge by tracking the group activities they organize like in-person or virtual group exercise classes, practices, events or even lunchtime walks on the Community Challenge website from June 1 – 30.
Every minute tracked goes toward your municipality’s score. The more organizations that participate the better the municipality’s chances of being named Canada’s Most Active Community. Spread the word, engage your community in physical activity and have a lot of fun while you’re at it! We encourage coaches, teachers and community leaders to track the minutes of their group on the app or website to our communities movement minutes!
