Camp Awesome Spring Break Camp 2025

Camp Awesome is a day camp for children ages 6-11 years, aimed at offering Manitoba Education-Based Curriculum outcomes in a nature-based and play learning environment, all while enjoying the fun of camp. Following the Forest School philosophy, children in this program will:

  • Engage in risky play
  • Participate in participant-led adventures
  • Take on inquiry-based learning

Camp Awesome staff will facilitate customized activities that foster connections to nature, movement, community, play and to each other, with the goal of inspiring land stewardship and holistic learning. At Camp Awesome we aim to bring awareness of self in relationship to nature and the world around us, provide opportunities that stimulate the development of each camper’s leadership skills, self-confidence and stewardship and help each camper appreciate the natural surroundings and take an active role in the stewardship of our environment.

We believe that every activity should be planned and executed intentionally to ensure the best camp experience for our campers. To make sure that all of our activities, games, crafts, and learning experiences are enjoyable for every child, we’ve developed 6 pillars to help guide and support our activities at Camp Awesome. Everything we do at camp must support one if not all of these pillars. Each day at camp, children will engage in meaningful experiences that related to all 6 of our camp pillars. Our camp pillars include: Nature, Community, Creatively, Movement, Education and Play!
