Our water tower is not only the iconic landmark of our community, it’s a critical piece of infrastructure that was in need of some attention. In 2021 we had our logo painted at the top along with artwork reflective of our brand. The base of the tower will soon depict our past, present and future when we hire a muralist to complete the work.
This will soon become a place where people – residents and visitors – can visit, take selfies and learn more about Selkirk.
The city is currently seeking an artist that can demonstrate experience with a comparable mural project of a similar scale. If that’s you, please contact us HERE

Lighting a Landmark
Selkirk joins communities across the globe are that are making use of lights to demonstrate civic pride, mark special occasions or recognize and honour specific campaigns.
Soon, a policy be developed to guide the usage of the lights that will light both the tower and the mural at the base.
